This LC pump is ideally suited for coupling to MS systems using 1 and 2mm ID columns both at normal pressures and anything up to 1000 bar; it allows you to use a fast expanding range of columns with < 2um particle diameter and thus give you both unprecedented speed and chromatographic resolving power. Some of the highlights are:
Capillary- and Nano-LC Advance Ghromatography Platform and Janeiro-CSC Software. The Rheos 2000 has over the last few years established itself as a hot tip for a growing community of analytical chemists. This has been mainly due to its reliability, low delay volume and extreme accuracy in delivering solvents at low flow rates. The total biocompatibility of all wetted surfaces in this system really sets it apart from its competitors. It has proven itself as the LC of choice for use with Mass Spectrometry (MS). Our customers like it especially for its outstanding performance in high-throughput applications, capillary- and nano-LC. The Rheos 2200 platform represents the next evolutionary leap of this exceptional concept. Amongst other things, the algorithm defining the cam shape has been further optimized, along with the micromechanics to further extend the performance at the lowest flow rates, down to 100 nL/min. The electronics have been refined and the four-channel degasser has now been integrated into the system. Janeiro-CNS software for advanced applications Like the central nervous system in the human body Janeiro-CNS is the centre for processing and dispatching of information in our system. In combination with Janeiro-CNS, a sophisticated plug-in for Thermo's XcaliburTM software the user can now realise advanced chromatographic solutions using one system, rather than trying to synchronise a setup of separate software modules. This allows to effortlessly manage applications such as 2D-chromatography or column switching. With the HP Gradient Wizard Janeiro-CNS equally enables a special high-pressure gradient formation system (Rheos HPG system).
Speed meets precision Would you like to improve sensitivity and reduce cycle times of your analyses? Do you need precise gradients at low flow rates? Is the cost of analysis an issue for you? Then check out the Rheos HPG. Fast gradients at low flow rates on small diameter columns increase sensitivity and throughput. The delay volume should be as small as possible. The most effective way to achieve this is high pressure gradient formation. It minimises delay times and optimises gradient presicion. Smallest delay volume: The Rheos HPG with a unique low delay volume of only 18 µL including mixer will give you exactly that and more. Biocompatibility, essential for high sensitivity in protein and peptide applications and the new multifunctional Janeiro-CNS software gives the user the tools needed to get consistent results faster. Flexibility: With a binary and an iscocratic pump the system adapts to your needs. For instance if you require a ternary high pressure gradient or a binary low pressure gradient and an auxiliary pump. For higher flow rates, or special appliactions 75 µL or 200 µL dynamic mixers are available. An example for an advanced application you can find at the left side. A contract research company we are working with had secured a huge contract with thousands of samples. Thus they had a need for much shorter cycle times and a robust method in the area of DMPK. The solution Flux delivered was not only fast and robust, but increased the sensitivity by a factor of 4 while reducing solvent consumption.
Column switching applications
The Rheos HTS (for High Throughput System) is specifically optimized for the most demanding LC/MS applications. Its extremely small delay volume (18 µL with the high pressure gradient option, incl. mixer) enables short cycle times and hence high sample capacity. For instance application of 1 mm ID columns with ballistic gradients boost throughput and sensitivity at the same time. The system comprising of 2 Rheos 2200 binary pumps, 10-port switching valve, and Janeiro-CNS maximises flexibility. The Janeiro-CNS software combines completely independent control of up to 3 pumps, switching valves and autosamplers with seamless integration into Thermo's Xcalibur. Or use 2 pumps as a high pressure gradient system. These unique features enable advanced systems such as the one described in the application sheet.
